Why We Are Ready to Ride...

"Linking Ohio" is a diverse group of citizens who have lots of different reasons to want passenger rail transportation available in Ohio, starting with the 3-C "Quick Start" Project connecting Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati. Ohio state government was awarded $400-million in Federal grant dollars to make this first step in passenger train service a reality—here are complete official details.

• Businesses and community leaders who want to see the economic benefits passenger rail will bring—including thousands of much-needed new jobs.
• Citizens who understand the benefit of linking all that is great in our state - university system, health care community, innovation centers, travel & tourism.
• Students, sports fans, and professionals who need or want to travel up and down our state without the expense of cars and gas, the annoyances of traffic, or the safety challenges of long distance driving.
• "Green" proponents who see the benefits of replacing thousands of cars with clean-running passenger trains.
• Regular people like you, who would just rather talk, read, listen to music, surf the web or even take a nap, instead of focusing constantly on endless miles of road and traffic tie-ups.

Linking Ohio was started by All Aboard Ohio, a non-profit, member-based organization dedicated to promoting improved public transportation and passenger rail service throughout the state.
